Meath v Louth

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Well lads it's going down to the wire.,

With the result of the Derry v Louth game yet to be decided it's almost certain that the loser of the Meath v Louth will be relegated.

Meath were very lucky to avoid be relegated last year, so I can't see Banty being as lucky this time around.

I personally cant see Meath beating Louth. Team in transition and cant get a run of scores together.. Louth forwards can kick points even if their defence is a shambles. Meaths defence is nothing to write home about, louth will want it more than Meath. Ive said it on many other threads MEATH NEED TO GET REALISTIC

Louth really put it up to us in the Summer of 2010, and with the shape (and low morale) we are in now, anything is possible. Whoever loses that match deserves to get relegated. Karma is a bitch and could manifest itself in two weeks time. Too many players have no pride in the Jersey and we are lucky that a match versus Louth in Navan is probably one of the few league games that they will be up for. They will need to approach this game with the positive attitude they did v Tyrone last season. Any more poor performances and the unthinkable could happen.

The way things are going, we could be HUMILIATED in Navan in 2 weeks.

RELEGATION

its looking like theres a realistic chance that after louth we will be relegated to division 3, maybe this is no harm as the team will be playing at their level and might win a run of games and get a bit of a winning mentality back

Well if we get relegated to dv3 it really shows how far we have gone back. We destroyed Westmeath in Mullingar a few weeks ago,if we where to replay that game now,I'm pretty sure we would lose..

how they would enjoy turning the screw on us pushing us to div 3 ,karma ,eh .what would worry me is how long we would be down there .

We could lose to Louth and still stay up. That's how mad this years division could pan out (If Monaghan lose to Tyrone and Westmeath to Derry).

It really makes no difference what happens in this game. Both counties are a long way off top teams both very much in transition. Me(g will stay up. But future is not good

Lads, Louth will beat us off the field in two weeks. we dont deserve to be in division 2. It may be what is needed in order for action to be taken LONG TERM ACTIONS for the future of Meath football.

If we lose to Louth, I can tell you now it'll be the last time I pay to watch that Meath team this year.

You'll beat Louth in Navan... sure if theres one team you'd want to beat at home its Louth...

But Banty has failed with the current set of players. He's had plenty of time... they should have adapted by now if they were willing enough

Its not rocket science...

2 points from play against Tyrone... thats not Meath... as for Banty. Well he's not Meath either...

The sooner he's gone the better it will be for ye to get things going again... because there's a fair few teams further down the road now and getting better all the time.

Will we see a Meath panel revolt?

BR, Monaghan and Westmeath must both lose (not just one) if we get beaten by Louth, in order for us to survive.

If some of the Meath players aren't that bothered making the effort for Banty, they sure as hell better for the supporters in Navan on Sunday week. Otherwise there will be an Easter rising in 2012.

westmeath and monaghan will both have to lose for meath to survive if they lose to louth. can't see meath losing to louth though, a draw game might be enough to save both however, can't see monaghan beaten tyrone either. if westmeath have the garrycastle boys back then westmeath can beat derry. some very tense and exciting stuff ahead.
