Why do so many people have agendas.
This place use to be for the purest among us, that lived and breathed Meath football, I'd argue night and day (well until 10p.m) with people of different viewpoints, and some times heatedly, (ask jinxie, Ziggy, loyaltoroyal etc) but despite our differing views we always knew that we had no agendas or axe to grind, our motives were pure. Those days are gone , the anti manager agendas and the man not in job a wet week are pathetic and leave a very sour taste in the mouth, they are some blatent ones an some opaque, but the agenda is always the same, undermining management and in turn undermining Meath football. Sad times

The anti manager agendas that's a bit rich coming from a man who filled pages on threads abusing O'Dowd while he was in the job and still even now that he's gone

Personally i don't think anybody has a agenda with Andy Mcentee at all...truthfully i would say 100% of Meath supporters are backing him !

If you read the people posts on here who seem to be given Andy a hard time ...its actually just a wash, rinse, repeat of what you posted about Mick O Dowd in his term as manger ,I kinda figured out what they were doing at the begin with ! In other words they just have agenda with you not Andy !

Remember if there is Agenda they might feel you started it :/

I backed Mick O Dowd 100% to the end...i will back Andy Mcentee 100% to the end.

Now to the Discovery channel to watch Ancient Aliens :)... Now that we are on the subjected of "Ancient Aliens" i think Sky gaa needs new pundits :)

Now to dispel the myth and had a agenda against mick odowd.
I felt many people named to be appointed as banty successor had claims to be given job, mod was given it and had my 100% support through 1st year, and indeed 2nd year, never voiced anything against him, apart from the worry about fitness and a inability to see out games, again not his fault but the s&c coach.
However in year 3 the same mistake was been made match after match. And like many others it began to get worse , then on the 29 of June we lost our 130 record of never having been beat by Westmeath, our captain wasn't even made aware of this by mod and the excuses just got lamer . on that evening I wrote and should gracefully resign after our inevitable exit in the next round, (remember we are in year 3 of a 3 year term) so it hadn't worked out.
However the cb not only reappointed him they gave him another 2 years with a review after one. I absolutely disagreed with that and called on mod to do the decent thing and stand down, he did after another disaster year . s just to be clear I never called for mod head until after getting beat by Westmeath, certainly not at end of year one.
So you are all wrong AGAIN, now off you go with your agendas, and don't forget the obligotory 7 thumb down. As that makes me posting even more enjoyable :)

You think your so smart don't you!! Funny how every poster on this thread thinks your wrong!!

And just on another note after seeing the hammering Donegal got where does that leave us ! People are saying last 8 is the goal ! Could you imagine what Kerry or Dublin or Tyrone and others would do to us ! I was born in the late eighties and this is the worst Meath team by a long way ! McEntee is a decent manager but the players are just very poor!! I can't see us doing anything in thr championship in the next 5 years !!

RD, it's clear that you are upset that McEntee has not been the messiah that you hoped in year 1. He is obviously a good manager and is definitely a big improvement on the last two years under MOD, but we have simply not got the players to consistently challenge the way you or I would like unfortunately.
From the start of the year, the bizarre hyperbole that you've come out with is what has gotten on people's nerves. Before the league even started, you were not even saying that we had a good chance of promotion, you were saying that it was simply a case of who would join us in promotion. When that didn't happen, you went on about the "mental scars" of MOD's reign being the reason behind it.
Then it got even better! Before the start of the championship, you categorically stated that Louth would be a bigger test for us than Kildare. That Kildare would not be able to live with us only for Kildare to completely outclass us from start to finish.

The bottom line is that you simply cannot handle the fact that some people disagree with your views on McEntee/Biggy. You are more than welcome to criticise other players and managers but if someone dares to criticise the above two, all of a sudden it's because they have an agenda. How about you reign in your unrealistic expectations. I've no doubt we'll make progress under McEntee but it's baby steps given the players he has at his disposal. There's nothing wrong with being optimistic and positive, but the statements you earlier in the year were just crazy and your constant dummy spitting when people challenge your views does not exactly endear you to anyone else.

A+ trolling RD. You either don't understand irony, but you have self identified as "very smart" so that couldn't be true, or you are a troll. Such a pity that this nonsense is being talked about when the U17's had a great win.
