Joe Sheridan

At the risk of getting told I'm silly..

Just a little suggestion After watching club games this year Joe Sheridan has been given full backs a torrid time ! Now im not saying he would start but he could be an outfield option! I honestly think there's a debate to be had ??

Don't think it will or should happen but he did do really well against Dunboyne yesterday

possibly from the bench, but the days for lumping it into the full forward is gone at the highest standard of the game.

Not saying lumping it in! But he has been effective!! Still think he could provide an option

understand that, but the tendency is to often do that. we did that with his brother in the side.

4 points down 10 mins to go!! That type of position ? He could provide something diffrent ! We dont have a natural full forward !

I think them times are long gone unfortunately. Brian was also immense yesterday and he wasn't great for Meath when selected this year. I think its easy to mark as well, if Dunboyne just put two men on him it would have taken him out of the game and he wouldn't of been effective.

They did double mark him and still couldn't stop him ! Even if he is double marked another forward should be free !

Leave it to Andy , he will make the Best decision re Joe. Nit saying you are wrong as I think he has something to offer from bench, also has played in couple of challenge games.

Agree-- that would be the only role I could see Joe playing. I think our best forward line is lenihan Newman mcmahon. Even if Joe were to come on for the last few in a game would he have the composure?

Would rather see the likes of daire Rowe given a shot if I'm honest

but rowe wouldnt be the same option as joe joe is your old school full forward and hes the last gaspmoption when your chasing a game couldnt say that rowe, tobin or anyone else on the panel as that presence.

Hold your horses boys , when last I heard Joe Sheridan , was wearing a second Goalie Jersey . Then I heard he had re- incarnated himself as a Folk singer. Its about time a line in the sand is drawn here ....... for Joe

That's a fair point...Joe would gee up the crowd for sure. Probably just me but I have so many bad memories of him whacking the ball well wide of the posts at crucial times

im not saying he's not gonna do it but name me one other proper full foraward in the county that would be able to do that sort of role chasing a game like newan isnt an overly physical full foraward tobin maybe be able to do a similar job but not like joe
