What's the story with Biggy though, half hearted attempts to tackle, running down blind alleys losing the ball and standing around with hands on the hips, it's frustrating to watch from a talented player.

Replying To matthematx:  "Don't know how bad fermanagh are but we hammered them today forwards were possessed today hunting in packs all over backs like a rash menton was good Mickey burke played well keoghan leniahan Mc Mahon Sean Tobin played well and worked like a dog of Sullivan did well por caught some great balls our backs did well good to see power sitting back making sure we had two on one all the time simple stuff but not done in the past for anyone not at the game the tackling by meath and the pressure applied was at a level I have not seen meath play in years seriously impressed. But when we had the wind we didn't use it as well as we could this should have been a cricket score it was men against boys I know this was only fermanagha but the team stepped it u a gear today and anybody not a fan of Mc entee couldn't help but be impressed I'm not one to get carried away and we wont win Sam but we are going in the right direction"
Awful pity we looking like we wont be promoted, as I feel this team under this management are well capable of handling division one and what's more it would bring them on hugely. You are right we wont win Sam, but neither will anyone outside of Dublin, I wouldn't fear the likes of mayo, Tyrone Donegal or Kerry (look at today) we arewell capable of giving any of them a game. But we are where we are. On side note my auld mucker biggie was so hard working today the pass to McMahon was tremendous (as was finish) no one really disappointed but that was a awful Fermanagh team.

Htaem there's having your opinion and there's just pushing an agenda and your obviously one of the latter that pop up here from time to time.....yes he had a poor game today and the end of the league couldn't come sooner for him...he's been on the go now over a year full tilt and looks a bit fatigued.....Come June he's in top 3 names on teamsheet....anybody that can't see this really shouldn't be on a gaa forum and are just wasting theres.and the moderators time posting

Enjoy your chicken!"
Ha ha good man bert sadly I couldn't make it today one if those days where work got in the way I'm afraid so no chicken in the way home but I'm very happy with this result, we don't have wins like this too often. I doubt Kildare will do us any favours next weekend and we will have a job in itself beating Clare who are no bad outfit at all but at least we battling at right end of the table

Woukd it be an idea to rest Biggie next week ! He didn't look right today ! Just so he can recover. Not a criticism off him !!

I don't think another year in this division will do us any harm this is a young team and if we can keep improving get everyone fit and bring one or two more players in it will stand to us in the long run donegall Tyrone Monaghan and the other division one teams are all playing there systems and been on the road a lot longer and than us meath were a mess the last few years and I firmly believe you should learn to walk before you start to run.just one other small thing but absolutely loved seeing it today , was and anger and disappointed expressed by meath players when they gave a free away or foul tackled only a small detail but was great to see lads wanting to win everything

James mcentee looked as impressive a sub as we've had in this league, looks very much worthy of a start next week especially with that horrible injury forde picked up, wish him a speedy recovery

No agenda southmeath, just calling it as I see it.

In fairness htaem is not one of those with a agenda, he has never been like that, and while I dont agree with his sentiments on this particular issue , he would never criticise a player just for sake of it.
Now again ill say I thought biggie worked hard today, but you could see the year has taken its toll , fatigue is there and Andy did the right thing when game was won and took him off. Still he was back tackling, making runs getting frees and that pass to McMahon was sublime, also chipped in with 3 points, so i guess for a bad day that's still some return. We need him next week. But after that I think some r&r is biggies number 1 priority.

If promotion was beyond us then I would agree. But as its not then he has to play.

The only thing that would hurt Kildare after been promoted is if Meath went up too. If it was a boxing match Kildare would take a fall.
I hope I'm wrong, but the flour bags will do everything they can not to win next week. My moneys on a draw.

I appreciate that royaldunne and I have no problem with constructive disagreement, also I have absolutely nothing personal against Biggie, I don't know the man at all and I want to see him doing well for Meath obviously, that goes without say. I think southmeath overreacted, I don't know why and I honestly don't care why, that's his issue, not mine.
