The 4 lads who stood out for 21's were brought onto panel and 3 made their debuts in championship. Not sure that there are too many stand out footballers in county to be honest.

agh FFS not this chesnut again...
could you name all these great north meath players that are being ignored by several managers.
I'm a proud man from that end of the county but i couldn't give a continentals whether a guy is from Kells, Ratoath, Clonard or timbuktu, so long as they're amongst the best 15 players available to the management.

Oh wait its your first posts so you're obviously on the troll for a reaction.

No point going to all that effort of a post like that without providing examples.

Give us a few names of the top intercounty standard footballers in North meath! As someone from North meath myself I look forward to seeing these.

Pretty at least 75% if not all those you have mentioned were given a shot over past year.

Fair play Reco at least you threw a few guys out there.
Seamus Mattimoe is involved and was listed at 26 prior to Kildare game
Barry Tormey is approaching if not already 30 and was involved early 2016 but never progressed so probably too late for him now
Liam Ferguson might be worth a look if he has a good club championship and same for the other lads you mentioned.
William Carry might get another look next year too.

Mickey Newman was 26 for Kildare was he not.from reports mattimoe was doing well in training.I was at game mcentee was at involving kells Liam Ferguson was class defending and kicked 2 points v na fianna.didn't hear he brought in but Geraghty is very clever 6.2 defender def in my books worth look.micko had him in was happy with him got injured missed to much training. We need competition and lads fighting for places.

Mattimoe is already involved. Sean Reilly was with the U21s this year so I'd imagine he's still in the mix. Apart from that I don't see much else coming out of north Meath at the moment. McKeever from Simonstown couldn't commit this year. Devine and Campion were good for the minors last year at midfield. Hopefully Hannigan and Burlingham will be brought back but that won't happen given the current goalkeeping situation. Again all I'd like to see is 5 or 6 new players that can really put their hands up for selection. There's a good core group there but they need to be kept together. Always disappointing when lads can't commit or pursue other interests but I guess there's life outside of amateur sports after all!

It would be difficult to name many in South Meath as well!! or indeed in any part of the county

Discipline issues? Can you give examples? Bar the Westmeath game I'm not aware of any other issues. If that your logic one sending off means discipline issues, then theres alot of lads who have similar issue.

Having seen him play a couple of times, hes plays the the edge alright. Maybe if we had a few more with that bite then we might be still in the championship

Just a thought but Shane Duffy from Ratoath (ex Monaghan) is probably the strongest and most consistent keeper in Meath at the minute. He would be a great addition for a year or two.
