Replying To joeblogs10:  "But what you want, you critical of rd been critical of others opinions then criticised HIS opinion. Is that not double standards?
Anyway what the hell do some of you want, you come off a drubbing , and ye win against a team with qualifier win, first in five years. Take the win and move on, ye not all ire contender, last 8 would be progress after a good league. Ye 2 wins away from that. Its not 80s ye have no devine right to dismiss Sligo and complain about only winning by 2. Ye are coming from a all time low with a good manager in first year. Look at Kildare and where they were last two years. Don't get ahead of yourselves. Baby steps. Would ye have won that game last year, I doubt it as ye were hammered in second halve every game ye played."
Critical of Royaldunne making blatantly false remarks.

It's a forum everyone has an opinion

Royaldunne made a false remark and claimed it to be a typo and peotic licence.

We are here to discuss the game not tell blatant lies

Replying To grahamc9897:  "Who replaces him ?? Don't say The simonstown lad ,Andy has dropped him so he obviously doesn't rate him ,"
We did have a great option for goalkeeper Jack Hannigan from Don/ash but he opted out because he was told he was No 3 behind Joe Sheridan, crazy stuff. Would you blame the young lad???? Terrible match yesterday, don't understand so many behind the ball and they still had chances to score goals, fortunate it was only 1. At the other end we never looked like getting a goal and at one stage buggy had ball on their 30 myths line and there wasn't one player ahead of him. I thought Tobin worked hard all through match and scored 3pts but not sure if he is the answer.

Ah lads stop with the stuff about biggy, there was easily 8 or 9 players who had an equal or worse performance than him, he has more talent than most of them lads but this debate will never end.

Is the draw at 8.30 in the morning?

Replying To royaldunne:  "I dont want to get into.this again. But the only way mod was treated badly was by ever been appointed. He had 4 years in that job and its probably fair enough to say he brought them.backwards on each consecutive year. Culminating in the lowest ever point in Meath football and loosing to Westmeath for first time in 130 years.
To say he was treated badly, and Andy McEntee should be fired for not havin more omahoneys lads on team. No one in their right mind could agree with his sentiments, he was purely putting his club ahead of county"
What you talking about Royaldunne.

There are three O'Mahonys stewards in PT. Know them all well.

Not one of them would argue that more Nom players should be on county team.

Replying To redser123:  "Earth to Andy mcentee - Mickey Newman is the second best forward in Meath... PLAY HIM!!!"
Might be a bit unfair there, if Mickey Newman plays to form from previous years (and looking at him when he came in in this game) he might be our best forward.

Replying To royaldunne:  "I would say they talking about championship games. When prior to this year did we win a second 35? Was it Wicklow in navan? Or Louth in Parnell last year. We were 7/8 up against Derry and got destroyed. Second 35 collapses had become a norm. Unfortunately"
In championship games before this year the last time we outscored a team in the second half was the 2014 Leinster quarter final in that game against Carlow when we scored 7 goals. That was a run of 9 championship matches.

Personally I don't think home advantage is any benefit to our team. I've rarely seen our guys play well in navan and feel it just puts added pressure on them.

Well the home record is much better than the away one in both league and championship. When was the last time we got a home venue for the back door?

Well that was the obvious point I was making to the poster who was suggesting that an away fixture would be better than the pressure of having one at home and!! it is good to see a couple of posters being factual!!! and to the point. 3 days is the correct answer!!
Now my next question! When do we play the second back door home fixture at home?
