Jesus thunder Im far from rubbing your nose in it my meath friend. If I was you would certainly know about it. I think most Louth people on here and most meath fans on our forum are being fair to each other and if we didnt have the banter after each match what would be the point of it all???

I'd agree. Let the Louth fans have their day. God knows they don't get many. They should celebrate after what was a great win

Meath people,

Are ye that bothered about playing in Division 3 next season? I mean, chances are ye will be back up to Division 2 in a year anyway & as everyone knows its all about championship results. Id imagine Meath's lack of success at Minor & U21 level over the last few years would be more of a concern to ye?

Always thought this bunch of Meath footballers seem to be very arrogant and certainly not friendly ... not like most of the Hurlers and the real greats Meath teams of the late 80s and 90s that had lots of characters. I think the Louth lads are a far nicer bunch of lads and are far more approachable. Maybe Sundays loss might knock their Ego's down a peg or two. What do you think.. am i wrong ...

Thunderstruck
County: Meath

"The jeering of the Louth fans to every pass at the end of the match will no doubt come back to haunt them... it came back to haunt plenty of Meath fans in 2001 when we jeered Kerry"

Was on the stand side of Pairc Tailteann myself and I didn't here any jeering of any Meath players from that side, I did here some cheering coming from the terrace side very close to the end of the game it appeared to be people cheering Louth passes ole type stuff and certainly not jeering as has been stated above.

Coincidentally I happened to be in the very same spot in Pairc Tailteann back in January when Meath played Louth in the O'Byrne cup. Meath won by 0-11 to 0-06 on that occasion.
The majority of the Meath fans in the stand that day cheered every Louth wide, every mistake, every slip/fall etc etc it was sickening to here but unfortunately it's become a part of the scenery at lots of games I'm afraid. Some were even shouting put dem outta der misery Mede so it's something you guys like to dish out but it appears you dont like it if others do it to you.

I don't know who the people were on the terrace you say were jeering, but I'd be very confident that none of them belonged to the Louth GAA Supporters Club these are the Louth supporter who go to Louth games all year round.

Amazing, seems to be more people from outside An Mhi on this blog than Royals? I agree with Corkman.. maybe it's time Lu started concentrating on their next game v IarMhi?

As for us Royals being bothered..yes we f*****g are...they had the Arab Spring, now we need the Royal Spring...big brush, clean sweep ...do it before Wickla and try salvage some pride.
