Replying To stillaroyal:  "Sour grapes here - at least one Ratoath player should have seen red for an elbow into a Summerhill player.

I am not from Summerhill but I think they are well deserving SFC champions for this year. Ratoath have regressed this year and could well have gone out earlier than yesterday. Whether it is that Kevin Reilly's style of management does not suit their players, team getting tired or the dual efforts with the hurling it is evident that their loss cannot be blamed on the referree."
If it's the clip on tictoc it was a shoulder charge too fast to stop when the player dipped. Not intended but still a red just like 2Summerhill players. Meath refs don't do red cards. But they should. No harm in 14 or 13 a side and better player safety. And another card for the player who shoved MC Mahon after as he was going off injured, Not one to be proud of.

Have to say this was one of the cleaner games in Meath.

Ratoath were knocked out with the aul 1-2 UniFlu, I'd worry for management, And wonder will this be the end of an era for them , hail hail , delete delete delete , Ratoath sentenced to the attic , SUMMERHILL ARE FREE LAWDDDDDDDDDD

I watched the recording of the game and I have to say I thought the Summerhill midfield stole the show, over a much heralded Ratoath.

Was not overly impressed with Jack Flynn tbh (yes, he is a good player), but Eoghan Frayne on the other hand really is a class player. Get him into your starting 15 asap. You could see just how much it meant to him at the end.

For me Summerhill were the better, hungrier and more determined of the 2 teams throughout.
Summerhill could have rued some gilt edge chances and fair play to Ratoath for forcing extra time.
Daithi McGowan was very good.

But Summerhill have been the best and most consistent team in the Meath Championship this year.

On the hit by no.4 COF - it is a sending off every day of the week. Meant it and could have caused some serious damage.

Excellent game played it the right spirit for the most part.

After 4 recent losses, Summerhill defo deserve it...

Will be interesting to see how Ratoath recover for the Hurling final against Kildalkey....

How close things are in Meath shown by Ashbourne could have beat Summerville. Dunshaughlin and Tones could have beaten Ratoath who could have won out .
Also Cilles were lucky to beat Ratoath in an out of form group game which kept Moynalvey out of the quarter finals and then they were relegated.

If your objective is to confuse people, congrats, you have succeeded. Very hard to follow your posts.

Well done Summerhill, hungrier on the day. Best of luck in Leinster.

Well done also Ratoath, good champions.

A shoulder charge?? You mustn't have seen the clip so

Congrats to Summerhill, long time coming - a great club. Ratoath have been good champions, I'm sure they'll be back. For whatever reason it just has not clicked for them under Reilly. I'm sure that defeat will light a fire in their belly for next year. Really hope to see Eoghan Freyne push on and nail down a starting place for Meath next year
Down the other end, must have been a tough day for their neighbours Moynalvey. Skryne by all accounts seemed to have gotten a bounce with the new management, a risky call that paid off. Campion back also massive for them! Another man who we can hopefully see back in the green and gold next year

Unfortunately, the mass emigration has just really just came back to bite Moynalvey in the end as I feel they are nowhere near the weakest link in the senior.
