Dunderry keeper David Jennings

Champions Simonstown remain unbeaten while dark horses Moynalvey, Summerhill, Gaeil Colmcille and Wolfe Tones recorded wins as the race for the Keegan Cup heats up. Here are our best XV performers round 3 of the Meath football championship.

David Jennings (Dunderry): A superb display from the Dunderry 'keeper saw him produce a crucial penalty save in the second half that had a big bearing on that draw with Trim at Athboy. His ability to find a Dunderry man with his kickouts - long or short - is impeccable.

Willie Ryan (Summerhill): Saw off his immediate opponent and was prominent in a defence that leaked just nine scores in that comfortable win over Donaghmore Ashbourne at Pairc Tailteann.

Stephen Moran (Simonstown): Blotted out the danger of Joe Sheridan to great effect as the champions defeated Seneschalstown at Castletown to remain unbeaten.

Darren Brennan (Moynalvey): Another solid display from the Moynalvey defender. His block on Ruairi O Coileain's goal bound shot early in the second half proved crucial as O'Mahonys were defeated 3-15 to 1-15 at Skryne.

Anthony Forde (Moynalvey): An inspirational figure from wing-back. His pace allowed him link well with team mates. The dual player scored 1-3 as Moynalvey shocked O'Mahonys at Skryne.

Sean O'Hanrahan (Curraha): A real tour de force for the 2015 Junior champions. Strong in defence but did untold damage with his ball carrying abilities as the 'Ha saw off the 'Bracks in Dunsany.

Niall Kane (Simonstown): The reigning Keegan Cup holders best player to date. Brilliant in his defensive duties and excellent at going forward as they champions made it three wins from three at Castletown.

Ronan Jones (Dunboyne): Another powerful display from the impressive county man. He capped a fine performance with three points from play in the narrow win over St. Patrick's at Duleek.

Ethan Devine (Na Fianna): Apart from his equalising late kick, his overall effort was key to his side forging a draw here. Last year's county minor hit four points in that draw with Skryne at a near dark Pairc Tailteann.

Paddy Gilsenan (Oldcastle): Back from injury, Gilsenan proved a real thorn for the St Ultans defence as he scored 1-3 in the 2-13 to 1-8 win at Kilmainham.

Bobby O'Brien (Ratoath): Showing good form for the 2015 Intermediate winners, O'Brien was one of Ratoath's best players. He scored three fine points from play as neighbours Dunshaughlin were beaten at Ashbourne.

Ciaran Lynch (St. Michaels): Was at the heart of everything that was good as St Michaels picked up their second win in the Intermediate championship. Scored six points in the 2-14 to 0-8 win over Drumbaragh at Carlanstown.

Brian Hanlon (Gaeil Colmcille): 'Beano' was back to his best form with this display against Duleek Bellewstown in Walterstown. Hit an impressive 1-8 as the Kells men collected their second win.

Saran O Fionnagain (Wolfe Tones): The teenager capped a man of the match display with a brace of second-half goals along with two points as Wolfe Tones saw off neighbours Rathkenny to pick up a second win.

Conor Moriarty (Curraha): A very exciting prospect, Moriarty finished with an impressive 1-10 as Curraha defeated Ballinabrackey in a fiery Intermediate Football Championship clash at Dunsany.
