SYDDAN 3-19 SUMMERHILL 2-12

SYDDAN got back to winning way in the B League when taking the points from their trip to Summerhill.

The visitors laid the foundations throughout the opening half and at the break led 3-8 to 1-2.

Wing back Stuart Fedigan set Syddan on their way with his sides opening two points. Darren Smith struck for two quick-fire goals midway through the half and then on the approach to half-time Eoin Lynch Duff accounted for a third goal.

Summerhill staged a mini revival in the second half and boosted by six successive points they whittled the deficit back to five points.

However the Syddan lead was never seriously threatened with Cormac Rafferty, Gary McManus and Smith showing good form in attack.
