Ratoath Report

Nobber 1-10 Ratoath 1-8

An understrength Ratoath side, minus all their inter county stars, lost out to Nobber in this round 7 league game played in perfect conditions in Sean Eiffe Park last Sunday morning. Playing with a slight breeze in the opening half the home side were competitive throughout with the highlight being a goal from Colm Nugent in the 25th minute .As it happened the 1st half was evenly contested with nothing to separate the teams at the half time break 1-5 to 1-5.

The second half saw the visitors gradually get the upper hand with their greater strength and experience telling in the end over what was a very young Ratoath side. Ultimately the difference between the 2 sides can be attributed to Brian Farrell's unerring free taking who in the end notched a total of  8 points .Still Ratoath had their chances to draw or even win the game but were let down by their shooting as the North Meath men eventually ran out 2 point winners
