Camogie: Tough going in Division 1 for Royals

Meath completed their Division 1 Group 2 camogie league campaign with a narrow loss to Offaly at Meath Centre of Excellence Dunganny.

The two point defeat for last years Division 2 winners leaves the Royals bottom of the division. The home team started well and led a the break 1-2 to 0-4 thanks to a Beverly Lynch goal.

Offaly got themselves back in to the game early in the second half with two goals from the impressive Siobhan Flannery. Meath staged a mini revival late on and a Megan Thynne goal in the closing stages gave them hope but the Midlanders held on to record their first victory.
