Moynalty/Carnaross U17's kicked off their Division 4 league campaign against Wolfe Tones in Moynalty on Monday.

It was a good night for a football match with heavy underfoot conditions.

Moynalty/Carnaross got off to a blistering start with Paddy Mc Dermott shooting over three quick points

Bryan Mc Cormack and Adam Reilly controlled midfield to ensure there was plenty of ball going into the forwards.

Luke Gillic and Cormac Yore scored 1-1 each and along with a point from Bryan Mc Cormack along with another three from Paddy Mc Dermott the home team went in at half time 2-09 to 1-02 at the break. 

Wolfe Tones narrowed the gap with a goal and two points early in the second half  but scores from Paddy Mc Dermott 0-02, Shane Yore 1-01, Cormac Yore 1-00 and Luke Gillic 1-00 finished off Tones mini revival.
