Friday's Club Championship Round up

September 04, 2015

Fergus Toolan watches as the ball bounces back out of the Skryne net for Dunshaughlin's crucial first goal during the hoganstand.com Meath SFC preliminary quarter final at Simonstown.

Dunshaughlin produced one of the best second half performances seen for a long time to send Skryne crashing out of the hoganstand.com Meath senior football championship at Simonstown. Skryne led 2-6 to 0-8 at the break and added their third goal early in the second half. But Dunshaughlin refused to lie down and goals from Fergus Toolan and the outstanding Niall Murphy (2) gave Kit Henry's charges a great win.

Rathkenny have one foot in the senior football championship for 2016 with their five point win over St Patricks in the relegation battle at Paddy O'Brien Park while in the intermediate St Colmciilles advanced to the semi final at St Michaels expense in Duleek.
