The Annual Cortown GFC golf classic will take place on Saturday 1st August in Delvin Castle. Teams of 3 will cost €120 to enter the competition who will compete for the usual excellent prizes on offer! The Junior C's take on Summerhill in the final group game of the Junior C championship on Wednesday evening. It's a crunch game for Jose Rennicks' side who know a win will guarantee qualification to the quarter-finals but a defeat may result in a play-off. I strongly encourage everyone to come out to Athboy on Wednesday evening to support the lads with a throw-in time of 7.30pm.

Also best wishes to Cortown star Gary Coyne who undergoes his second cruciate operation in as many years when he goes under the knife later this week. We wish Gary well and look forward to the return of the red haired wizard in 2016!
