March 02, 2015

Dawn Thynne has been involved with Dunsany teams for the past ten years.

The Ladies Gaelic Football Association and TESCO will announce the winner of the 2014 TESCO Club Person of the Year at a presentation lunch that will take place in Croke Park tomorrow, Tuesday, at 1pm. The announcement will be made after the presentation of the 4 Provincial TESCO Club person of the Year awards with one of those 4 winners going on to be chosen as the overall winner of the National Award.

Dawn Thynne from Dunsany in Meath was selected as the Leinster winner of the TESCO Club Person of the Year following a decade of devotion to her club. Dawn got involved in the sport through her children as she started coaching, went on to do a foundation course and her interest went on from there. Dawn is now involved in every level within the club where she is club secretary as well as a trainer of teams.

Dawn will be in direct opposition with the other three provincial winners, Mary Fahy from Glenamaddy/Williamstown in Galway, Aileen Lynch from Castlisland Desmond's (Kerry)  and Emyvale's Erin Treanor (Monaghan) for the overall Club Person of the Year.
