An understrength Moynalty lost out to Ballivor in Friday night.

The first half was a very even affair with Moynalty's young side battling back in to the game after conceding two early goals. Two goals from Ben Lynch and one more from Fiachra Gallagher kept the village in touch. Ballivor led at the break 3-6 to 3-3.

The second half belonged to Ballivor as their superior strength took a firm grip on proceedings but the young Moynalty men can be proud of their efforts knowing that there is better days ahead.

Best for Moynalty were Niall O'Connor and Michael Collins in defence, Pauric O'Connor and Robbie Nevin in the middle third and the hardworking Ben Lynch and Cathal Reilly up front.
