Awards: Moment of the Year

December 18, 2014

Its our moment of the year award.

Another year has come to a close and our team at hoganstand.com have attended well over five hundred club games, witnessing plenty of magical moments.  It's not been easy but we have narrowed it down to nine of the best.

Jack Regan's (pictured above) last minute free in the first half of the senior hurling championship final. The Kiltale sharpshooter dissected the Trim goals from his own half back line.

Conor Sheppard's outstanding goal, which proved a match winner, for Wolfe Tones in the Junior B final win over Seneschalstown.

Ballinlough captain Podge Muldoon's (above) acceptance speech after he and Rita McDermott, mother of the late Ricky, were presented with the Mattie McDonnell Cup.

Neil O'Flaherty's celebration after he scored the match winning goal in the dying moments of the Junior Hurling Championship final against Kildalkey.

Ballinabrackey's (above) celebrations after they defeated Ratoath in the Intermediate Football Championship semi final at Lomans Park Trim.

Dunderry's reaction after they won the Under 21 B Hurling championship title after three attempts with a late Alex Walsh goal at Trim.

Alan Nestor's (above) return to action for Blackhall Gaels in the Division 2 football league decider after he was diagnosed with testicular cancer earlier in the year.

Kilmessan's dominance in the Meath senior camogie champions and their march to All Ireland glory.

Joe Sheridan's (above) second half point in to the wind against Gaeil Colmcille in the SFC at Pairc Tailteann.

Our Award goes to Alan Nestor.
