August 15, 2014

A delighted Anne Galligan
When Kerry and Mayo stand to attention for the National Anthem on All Ireland senior football semi final day they will be listening to the magical voice of Oldcastle girl Anne Galligan.

Anne is an avid follower of Meath GAA, club and county, football and hurling. The Galligan name is synonymous with the North Meath club.

On hearing the news Anne posted on facebook

"Wow the excitement...got a call from Croke Park yesterday and I've been asked to sing The National Anthem before kick off for the senior football semi-final Live on RTÉ One in two weeks time!!!! A life long dream I'm so privileged"

No stranger to the centre stage Anne has sang the national anthem on a few occasions at Pairc Tailteann.

Kerry take on Mayo for a place in the All Ireland SFC final on August 24th. Throw in time is 3.30pm. Anne should be on our screens at 3.25pm

Best of luck Anne
