Trim 6-19 Wolfe Tones 1-04

Trim put in a superb performance to win this Division 5 league match against Wolfe Tones.

On a fine, spring evening in St Lomans. Trim got off to a great start with a well taken goal from Lucy Leonard. Unanswered points followed from Julieanne Murtagh, Elizah Douglas & Chantel Massey before goals from Chantel, Elizah and Leah Boyle put Trim firmly in the driving seat. Trim won most of the Wolfe Tones puckouts which put huge pressure on the Wolfe Tones' defence. Trim continued to dominate throughout the first half in all areas of the pitch, but Wolfe Tones did respond with a couple of points in quick succession to get them up and running. Amy Boyle added (1-02) before Wolfe Tones registered their third point of the game. Trim finished the half strongly with further scores from Julieanne Murtagh, Sarah O'Connor, Amy Boyle, Lucy Leonard, and Chantel Massey.

Trim made all of their five substitute changes at the start of the second half. Trim were first on the scoreboard in the second half with a fine run and well taken point from Bláthnaid Hughes. Wolfe Tones responded with a point before Lucy Leonard and Lauren Farrell added a couple of great points. Wolfe Tones continued to battle and were rewarded with a goal and two points. The game finished with points from Emma O'Neil and Lauren Farrell. Well done to all involved in this evening’s game.
