St. Pats third team finally got their season up and running with a win over Nobber in Round 4 of the Division 10 Football League. The opening three rounds included two walkover’s and a postponed match.

The Stamullen outfit hit the Nobber net six times to record an 6-10 to 2-9 win.

The starting XV included a very rare double father and son combination. Former Meath and Ireland keeper Cormac Sullivan was joined on the full forward line by Ben while another veteran Keith Wherity lining out at full back saw his son Luke play in front of him in the number 6 jersey.

While the Wherity’s controlled the defence, Luke chipping in with a point, the Sullivan’s were doing the damage up front, Cormac with a goal and Ben with 1-2.
