Seneschalstown's Alan Mulvany

Seneschalstown 2-09   Ballinabrackey 1-12

On what can only be described as one of the coldest mornings in Fr Tully Park, all ended even when Ballinabrackey travelled the long distance for Round 5 of the All County A League Division 2.

The visitors were first on the score board in the opening minute with a point from play. This was quickly cancelled out when Ross Howard hit the back on the net on the 3rd minute for the home side. James Meade slotted over a free on the 9th minute but this was to be the last score for a while for the home side.

With a good wind advantage behind them Ballinabrackey scored 4 unanswered points, 2 from free, before Meade kicked over a point from play on the 28th minute. The ‘Bracks’ thought they got the last score of the first half with a free on the 30th minute but a point from the home sides Alan Mulvany finished the scoring off for the first half leaving the visitors up by a point.

Ballinabrackey opened the scoring of the second half. Mulvany scored 2 futher points from play on the 34th and 39th minute. Joe Moore then found the back of the net for the ‘Town’ with a well struck goal on the 41st minute of play. Seneschalstown used the wind advantage well with further points from play from Dylan Keating and Bryan Clarke.

Ballinabrackey reacted well with a point from play on the 50th minute and a goal on the 52nd minute leaving the sides all square. The visitors went 2 points up within a minute of the goal but the home side responded well with another point from Mulvany and Joe Sheridan on the 56th and 58th minutes respectively completing the scoring and a draw match.
