FL Div 4: Moylagh on top in Drumconrath

Moylagh made their trip to Drumconrath a successful one with a hard earned victory over the hosts team. In a low scoring first half Moylagh opening the scoring with an Alan McCann point both teams traded points after this but it was who Moylagh kicked the last two points of the half to lead by two at the break the scores coming through the boot of the impressive Sean Reilly and Darren Gibney. 

The second half  was a tight affair with both teams defending well-and scores were hard to come by. Rory Gibney kicked  Moylaghs first point of the second half and further points from Reilly saw Moylagh finish strong and take the points too leave Moylagh with three wins from three games and top of division four.

Moylagh 0-10 Drumconrath 0-6

Drumconrath after 2 away wins where looking to make in 3 out of 3 in their 1st home game of the League but a straight red after 20 minutes made a tough task against a solid Moylagh side also looking to maintain their 100% record even harder.

The game had opened brightly to match the Sunny Sunday morning with the backdrop of the home Clubs new Clubhouse Development adding sheen to the scene.

Two early Moylagh points where answered by two Daniel Byrne and Daragh Dunne points and when Pado Farrelly pointed for the Reds Drumconrath led.

Byrne seen Red and Molagh added 3 points before the break to lead 0-5 to 0-3.

Stephan Crosby narrowed the gap but Moylagh added 4 points to lead by 5 with 55 minutes gone. Drumconrath didnt give up and two further Crosby points had the gap down to 3 and when Drums had a goal chance which went narrowly wide.

Moylagh steadied the ship against the 14 men and pointed well into injury time to give them a four point win and hold their 100% record.

Crosby and Robbie McEntaggart had good displays for Drumconrath who lost Patrick Dunne to a nasty looking knee injury after just 2 minutes.
