The Meath GAA 'Royal House Draw', which is being run in association with Glenveagh Properties

Three lucky people will be the proud owners of beautiful Glenveagh homes over the next eighteen months thanks to a partnership between Meath GAA and Glenveagh Properties.

Meath GAA has embarked on an ambitious fundraising initiative which will see three houses won over the next 18 months - October 2018, May 2019, October 2019.

The first draw is scheduled to take place in Knightsbrook Hotel, Trim on Wednesday, October 31st.

Tickets for the draw are €100 each but all those paying upfront for the three draws will be able to avail of a special price of €250. Tickets are available from local clubs and online (www.royalhousedraw.com).

Each draw is limited to a maximum of 12,000 tickets while there are a number of cash prizes also up for grabs.

“The draw is progressing well,” Royal County chairman Peter O’Halloran revealed. “Online sales have been strong and the clubs have rowed in behind it. We’re looking forward to the first draw which will take place in two weeks’ time.”

Providing their players and supporters with the facilities they deserve is the primary motivation behind the fundraising for Royal County chiefs.

Planning permission has been secured for the full redevelopment of Pairc Tailteann to a 21,000 all seated stadium.

The planning permission was obtained following a feasibility study on the existing grounds in 2013 which found that the existing grounds was in need of major refurbishment to make it fit for purpose.

Phase 1 of the redevelopment will consist of the provision of a new 7,000 seated stand, the restoration of the floodlights and a small realignment of the pitch.

This exciting development will see Pairc Tailteann restored to its position as the best stadium in the North East, outside of Croke Park, a place of which all Meath Gaels can be proud and an inspiration to future generations.

“The funds we raise will help with Phase 1 of the redevelopment of Pairc Tailteann which we hope will commence in late Spring next year,” O’Halloran added.

In addition, Meath GAA, in conjunction with LMFM, are hosting a Q&A with some of the stars from both the Meath and Cork teams that played in the 1988 All Ireland final in Knightsbrook Hotel on Friday, October 26th (7-9pm).

All proceeds from ticket sales will go towards the 'Support Sean' fundraiser in aid of Sean Cox and tickets can be purchased HERE.
