It was 0-5 to 0-2 at half time to Meath Hill. Dunsany had a number of bad first half wides.

Ryan Carry fisted in the crucial goal with 4 mins left.

James Mooney and Paddy Matthews caused Dunsany problems all night with their attacking runs, while Dominic Yorke and Tomas Smith got some vital scores.

Dunsany Report

Dunsany travelled to North Meath on Saturday evening and were unlucky not to come away with a result.

In a much-improved performance from their last outing the visitors did not take their numerous chances in the first half. Dunsany were playing into a stiff breeze wich the hosts made full advantage of scoring some fine scores from play and placed balls.  The scored at the break was 0-5 to 0-2 at the break in favour of Meath Hill.

Dunsany came out of the traps flying in the second half. Declan Smyth won the throw in, ran directly at the Meath Hill defence, played a one-two with Pierre Fox, appeared to fumble the ball but had the whereabouts to slide the ball past the on-rushing keeper.

This boosted Dunsany as the raced into a 1-5 to 0-5 lead, but the home side where not to be denied. Meath Hill rallied and clawed their way back into the game and capitalized on some errors from Dnsany. They sealed victory at the end with a fortuitous goal at the death.
