O'Mahony to meet with Co Board over future

Mayo manager John O'Mahony
Following Mayo's exit from the All-Ireland SFC at the hands of Tyrone on Saturday, John O'Mahony's future as Mayo boss is set to be confirmed when he sits down with the county board next. The Mayo native, who managed Galway to All-Ireland success in 1998 and 2001, believes that it will be the Mayo County Board's decision whether or not he is to remain as manager of the Westeners next year. "You might have a three-year term the way the GAA works, but I have never stayed in any job where I wasn't wanted. I am willing to live by my commitment, but obviously I have to sit down with the county board and see what they want. I'll see how the dust settles. That will be down to other people as well. It won't be my decision, it never is," said O'Mahony.
