Knockmore's Sean McLoughlin has been ratified as the Mayo junior football manager for another term.

McLoughlin begins his second year in charge of the junior side and delegates at last week's county board meeting had no problem backing him for another term.

Meanwhile, the search goes on for a new Mayo senior hurling manager after Christy Phillips stepped down from the role before Christmas.

An interim management team has been put in place, but the county board are busy seeking potential candidates for the position.
