Mayo have launched an appeal against Lee Keegan's red card from last Sunday's All-Ireland SFC semi-final.

The Westport defender's hearing will be held tomorrow night (Thursday) in a last ditch bid to be eligible to line out against Kerry in Saturday's All-Ireland SFC semi-final replay in Limerick.

The right half-back will rely on video evidence to exonerate him after referee David Coldrick sent him off in the 33rd minut of last Sunday's drawn encounter for flicking a boot in the direction of Kerry's Johnny Buckley.

Manager James Horan will not name his Mayo starting 15 for the replay until Friday at the earliest.
