IFC final: Dowdallshill didn't make it

Of course, Dowdallshill narrowly failed to make it through to the 2007 Louth intermedaite football championship final.
Considering that they are a junior club, this was always going to be difficult...
So what happened? Why did hoganstand.com report that the 'Hill were through to face Dundalk Gaels in the IFC decider, prompting a flurry of activity and all manner of wild rumours on our messageboard?
Quite simple: out intrepid Wee County correspondent attended the senior final in St Brigid's Park on Sunday and duly went on the sauce afterwards. He couldn't get Dowdallshill out of his head and inadvertently typed in the wrong team.
He will never hear the end of it... (I know, because I am he.)
