Naomh Fionnbarra club notes

October 09, 2017

There was no jackpot winner in Naomh Fionnbarra G.F.C. and St. Anne's Camogie Club Lotto draw held on Wednesday 13th September. The winning numbers were 4, 10, 11 & 12.  There were 2 match 3 winners Maura Devlin Boicetown and Eoin, Ella & Rose Conlon c/o Gerry Sheridan who won €75 each.  Next weeks jackpot stays at €10,000.  Tickets are available from the usual local outlets, Lotto sellers and any committee member.  Funds raised from our Lotto draw go towards the running of the club and your support is greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately our Intermediate team were beaten in the semi final of the Championship a couple of weeks ago by O'Connells.  Although the team failed to get promotion to Division 1 or win the championship the team had a solid year and were unlucky in both competitions.  The club would like to thank all of the players, the team manager Paddy White, selectors Vincent Osborne and Gerry Leonard, physical trainer Ciaran McArdle, physio Ferdia McKeown, water carriers and anyone else who helped with the team during the year.  The team has plenty of potential and hopefully the lads can bounce back in 2018.

Hard luck to the Naomh Fionnbarra/ Lannleire combination who were beaten by St. Brides in the Louth U-16 B Championship Final on a scoreline of 5-6(21) to 1-8(11) on Friday 29th Spetember in Darver.

Well done to our Naomh Fionnbarra minor ladies football team who took part in a blitz in Newry today. The girls reached the semi finals of the shield. Great work by the management team of Leanne Sharkey and Niall Campbell.

Supporter's of the club can buy club gear directly from the O'Neills Website.  Please see the attached link
