Naomh Fionnbarra club notes

There was no jackpot winner in Naomh Fionnbarra G.F.C. and St. Anne's Camogie Club Lotto draw held on Wednesday 21st June. The winning numbers were 6, 13, 24, & 26.  There were 3 match 3 winners Shirley Reynolds, Tullydonnell, Paula McGuinness c/o Breda Butterly & Ellie Mae & Kelsi Woods, Johnstown who won €50 each.  Next weeks jackpot stays at €10,000.  Tickets are available from the usual local outlets, Lotto sellers and any committee member.  Funds raised from our Lotto draw go towards the running of the club and your support is greatly appreciated. 

Our Intermediate mens team had a good 3-13(22) to 1-9(12) win over Oliver Plunketts in the Div 2 League on Tuesday 20th June in John Markey Park, Ballygassan.  The lads now have 2 more upcoming games in the League before the start of the Intermediate championship; v Na Piarsaigh on Tuesday 27th June at Fr. Duffy Park, Dundalk at 8pm and v Hunterstown Rovers on Saturday 1st July at Pairc Baile Fiach, Hunterstown at 7pm.  Hopefuly the lads can continue their good progress in the League.
 

Naomh Fionnbarra Junior team were beaten in the Division 4 League on Friday 23rd June, on a scoreline of Naomh Fionnbarra 2-4(10) St. Marys Ardee 0-16 (16) on Friday evening at John Markey Park, Ballygassan, hard luck lads. Naomh Fionnbarra team: Colin McGrane; Matthew Monaghan, James Butterly, Brendan Simms; Shane Fanning, Michael McArdle, Niall Woods; Caolan Leech, Nicholas Butterly 1-1; Mairtin Murphy 0-1, Kian Carroll, Brendan Murphy, Padraic Murphy 1-2, Ryan Woods, Daithi Woods. Subs: Chris McGlynn for Mairtin Murphy, Darren Clinton for Ryan Woods.


Hard luck to Kieran Lenihan, Hugh Osborne and William Woods who were on the Louth Junior panel for their Leinster Junior Championship Final v Meath in Croke Park on Sunday 25th June.  All 3 lads got game time but unfortunately it didn't go to plan as Louth lost on a scoreline of 0-19(19) to 0-10(10).
 

Naomh Fionnbarra/Lannleire have now reached the final of the U14 league.  They reached the final after a great come back on Wednesday evening against Oliver Plunketts in the semi final.  All support welcome at the final on Monday 26th at Darver 7.45pm.

Naomh Fionnbarra G.F.C. are hosting a Kellogs GAA Cúl Football and Hurling Camp again this year from Monday 31st July and Friday 4th August.
