Development:  Work continued on the upgrade of the walking/running track around the field.  The clay was dug at both ends of field for the running track.  Both ends were then filled with crushed fill.  The track was then backfilled with 3" stone on the east and south ends.  All stone was levelled by labourers with shovels and compacted by a roller.  This stone will then be finished with a fine gravel dust. The existying path to the west side of the field along the stand was graded with a mini digger and is also ready to be finished with fine gravel dust.  Well done to everyone who got their hands dirty and put in the time including; Colm Markey, Máirtín Murphy, Martin McCreesh, Peter Callan, Nicholas Butterly, Paddy Murray, Frank Reynolds, Seamus Cosgrove, Liam Murphy, Pádraig Butterly, Pádraic Murphy, Darren McConnon, Joseph O'Reilly, David Keane, Laurence Kelly and Thomas McQuillan.  Also thanks to Marcella Markey and Trisha O'Reilly who provided food for the workers.  The next steps are to finish the track with the fine dust and to erect floodlights on the existing field.

The new training field has been levelled by the main contractor Rock Sportsfield Development and is now being left to settle until the spring time where the field will be drained and then covered with topsoil.
