Under 12, 24/6/15: We played the Clans away on Wednesday night we only had 11 players to their 18, this was frustrating as many parents did text to say they would be there but then didn't turn up. Anyway 11 is the minimum required to field so we were ok, we started slowly and saw ourselves struggling with their physicality and some slack defending let them in for 3 disappointing goals but we did get chances for goals ourselves but due to U12 rules no penalties are given which is terrible as there was some blatant fouling going on. At half time we trailed 0-3 to 3-2.The 2nd half saw a huge improvement and we challenged hard for every ball and 2 goals from Sean Reynolds brought us back into the game. We kept the work rate up but with the Clans adding fresh players in it was difficult for our lads and unfortunately we leaked more goals and could not get a grip in the game late on. Final score Clans 5-5 to O Connell's/ Stab 2-7.Great effort put in by the team and they can be proud of themselves for the way they handled things on the field as it is easy to be dragged into bad fouling etc. which they didn't. For O Connell's; Dirmuid Martin, Killian Wall, Darragh Mc Donnell, Cailum Woods, Tadgh Kearney.
