Team news: all change for Louth

May 14, 2015

Louth's Derek Maguire

The Louth team to face Westmeath in Sunday's Leinster SFC first round tie at Drogheda includes just seven players who featured in the corresponding game last year.

Goalkeeper Neil Gallagher, defenders Padraig Rath and Declan Byrne and forwards Derek Maguire and Conor Grimes are the only survivors from the Wee County starting line-up that won in Mullingar, while James Stewart and Ryan Burns figured as substitutes. Paddy Keenan and Shane Lennon have since retired, while other well-known names such as Dessie Finnegan, Derek Crilly, John O'Brien, Andy McDonnell and Mick Fanning are also absent from manager Colin Kelly's first championship selection.

Colm Judge, who didn't play against the Lake County last year, leads the attack on this occasion.

Louth (SF v Westmeath): Neil Gallagher; Anthony Williams, Patrick Reilly, Padraig Rath; Declan Byrne, Darren O'Hanlon, Adrian Reid; Bevan Duffy, Tommy Durnin; Derek Maguire, Colm Judge, James Stewart; Ryan Burns, Conor Grimes, Paraic Smith.
