Division 1: O'Connell's 0-12, Kilkerley Emmets 0-5. Two wins from two played makes it a good start to the division one league and let's hope it continues. On Sunday it took us a long time to get going, for some reason passes were going astray and nothing seemed to work out, especially in the first half. In the second half we fared better and started putting the ball over the bar and pulled away from our opponents and finished winners by seven points. Well done to all involved, it's the start to the campaign we wanted. Next Sunday we travel to the Gaelic Grounds in Drogheda to play the O'Raghallaighs and I hope that we can make it three wins and continue the good start to the season.
Team: Stuart Reynolds; Andrew Shields, Conor Byrne, Keith Woods; Salem Rifaie, Jackie Agnew, Andrew Sharkey; Conor Kiernan, Sean Cairns; Conor McGill, Paul McKeever 0-2(1f), Niall Conlon 0-4(1f); Robert Quigley 0-4, Dean Stanfield, Cian Doyle 0-2. Subs Jason Carroll for Sharkey, Declan Byrne for Woods, Ciaran O'Brien for Cairns, Emmet Byrne for Stanfield.

Division 4B: O'Connell's 2-13, Oliver Plunketts 1-10. On Tuesday night last our division 4B team produced a second half rally to come back from seven points down to win our first game in this division. Against a young Plunketts side who were in total control in the first half this turn around seemed very unlikely, but within ten minutes of the restart we were ahead due to two good goals from Conor Culligan and Dean Corrigan. With Stuart Reynolds in fine form from place kicks and one particular excellent side-line ball the team went on to win and make a good start to the 4B campaign.
Team: John McLoughlin; John Paul Stanfield, David Doyle, Micheal Cairns; David Neasy, Keith Woods, Colm Kearney; Conor Kiernan, Sean Cairns; Conor McGill, Stuart Reynolds 0-8(4f,1sl), Conor Culligan 1-2; Andrew Keenan 0-2, Dean Stanfield 0-1, Dean Corrigan 1-0. Subs TJ Doyle for JP Stanfield, Ryan O'Hanrahan for Kearney, Brian Hanratty for Neasy, James Rath for Culligan, Dalton O'Brien for Corrigan.
