Well done to all those who represented their county over the weekend. Eilis, Rebecca and Holly played their part in Louth LGFA win over Limerick and to Brian, Beanón and Jamie who all had a run out with the Minors in their win v Antrim. Great to have these players in our club.

Our Paddy Sheelan senior football match was postponed due to Sundays storm, this fixture has been rescheduled for this coming week. Please check our social media for details. 

Our Lights Up Ireland and Operation Transformation walk continues on Tuesday for week 5. Register in the kitchen at 650 pm, walk under our flood lights 7-8pm and join us for tea after.  This is proving to be a great social event for all our community as well as keeping fit.  We would love to see more participating.  Wear suitable clothing, footwear, bring your torch and together as a community Lets Light Up the Gers. 

Our u13 boys are playing in the Leinster Cross County League through February to March. They played in Piltown against St. Colmcilles of Meath in a hugely entertaining and close fought match on Saturday. Well done to all who took part and travelled. These matches are a great opportunity for players to play teams from other counties; please see our social media for reports on these games.  

Geraldines schools programme returned to St Furseys, St Francis’ and St Oliver Plunketts NS continues every Friday morning. Thank you to our sponsor Frank Lynch & Co, our 3 schools, their staff and our volunteer coaches who give their time to make this programme successful.

Our Lotto jackpot has not been won for several months and it now stands at a grand sum of €14,200.00. Remember you have got to be in it to win. Please grab a ticket and support the club.

Louth GAA are running a ‘Pick A House’ fundraising campaign to raise essential funds for the new Louth GAA Stadium. We are very proud to be supporting their cause. Tickets are €100.00 each with 2 houses to be won, one in Blackrock and one in Drogheda. Please see any committee member to purchase a ticket or if you need more information about the draw.
