The 2018 year was successful both on and off the field. The Intermediate team did not win any silverware but had a fairly successful year as they reached the Semi Final of the Championship losing out to St. Fechins and finished 4th in Division 2 losing out in the Division 1/2 play off semi final to Geraldines. The adult men's teams will play in the Intermediate Championship, in the Division 2 League, in the Paddy Sheelan Cup and in the Division 5 League in 2019. Well done to William Woods and Hugh Osborne who were part of the Louth Senior panel. Thanks to team manager Paddy White, selectors Gerry Leonard, Neil Hand & Sean McGrane, Division 5 selectors Allan Matthews and Garry Connor, fitness trainer Ciaran McArdle, team physio Ferdia McKeown, kit man Gerry Sheridan, Angela O'Neill who looks after the laundry, those who acted as gatemen, umpires, linesmen, all members of the Senior Committee who worked hard during the year and all supporters of the Club.

The juvenile section of the club catered for age groups from U-7 to U-18. Every Thursday evening throughout the year John Markey Park in Ballygassan was full of young players practising their gaelic football skills. 2018 was quite a progressive year as all players developed their potential further. There is great potential amongst many of the players within juvenile section and hopefully they can progress in the coming years to the senior ranks. Thanks to club Chairman Seamus Cosgrove, secretary Eileen Murray, all of the Committee and all juvenile mentors for their hard work during the year.

The Ladies team, proudly sponsored by O'Neills Bakery, had mixed success throughout the year as they competed in the Intermediate League and Championship. Well done to all ladies and underage girls who represented the club during the year with Louth. The club had 4 panelists on the Louth Ladies Leinster Junior winning team including Deirbhle Osborne, Roisin Osborne, Leanne Sharkey and Shauna Markey. This team also reached the division four league final and Junior All Ireland final. Marianne Hullen was selected on the Louth Intermediate All Stars team. The ladies thanked their management team from the last two years, Mark McArdle, Andrew Rogers and Niall Campbell for their dedication. All three, in their own way, have improved the ladies team. Niall through his fitness training, Andrew with wise words from the side-lines and Mark with his constant positivity and ability to recognise player’s strengths.

St. Annes camogie club made great progress this year especially at under age levels where the strength of the young girls coming through should really boost the senior panel for 2019. St. Annes have their own AGM next week on Tuesday 4th December.

Off the field significant milestones were reached with the second phase of development of the new training field at John Markey Park as the field will be available for use at the start of 2019. The conclusion of the upgrade work around the existing field which included new hedging and ball stops took place.
