The 2018 Footballer of the Year award went to Brian Fenton of Dublin at the PwC All-Stars awards ceremony in the Convention Centre tonight.
Having been named at midfield on the All-Star team which was announced on Thursday, Fenton was selected for this year's gong by his peers.
It was an all-Dublin line-up for the biggest individual prize in gaelic football as Ciaran Kilkenny and Jack McCaffrey made up the three-man shortlist.
But there could only be one winner and Raheny clubman Fenton got the nod following a highly-impressive season in the engine-room for the four-in-a-row All-Ireland champions.
Meanwhile, teenager David Clifford capped off a sensational debut season with Kerry by scooping the Young Footballer of the Year accolade, restricted to players under 21.
