Naomh Fionnbarra club notes

There was no jackpot winner in Naomh Fionnbarra G.F.C. and St. Anne's Camogie Club Lotto draw held on Wednesday 13th June. The winning numbers were 6, 22, 25, & 27.  There was 1 match 3 winner Patrick Reynolds, Tullydonnell who won €150.  Next weeks jackpot stays at €10,000.  Tickets are available from the usual local outlets, Lotto sellers and any committee member.  Funds raised from our Lotto draw go towards the running of the club and your support is greatly appreciated.

Well done to the Louth Seniors last Sunday who beat London in the first Round of the All Ireland Qualifiers on Sunday with a 2-26(32) to 1-19(22) win.  A big shout goes to William Woods who was chief scorer with a record total of 0-13, playing at corner forward.  Well done to Hugh osborne who was also part of the panel.

Hard luck to Louth Juniors who were beaten by Kildare in the semi final of the Leinster Junior Championship on a scoreline of 2-19(25) to 0-8(8) in Drogheda on Tuesday last.  Well done to Hugh McGrane, Eoghan Osborne and Bryan Sharkey who played on the night representing Naomh Fionnbarra.

The lads had a good win over Glen Emmets in Division 5 League on Wednesday evening at a wet and windy John Markey Park. Naomh Fionnbarra team: Nicholas Butterly; Brendan Simms, James Butterly, Michael McArdle; Chris McGlynn 0-1, Hugh McGrane, Josh Crosbie; Bryan Sharkey, John Doyle; Ben Devlin, Mairtin Murphy, Shane Fanning 1-1; Padraic Murphy 0-2, Gary Matthews, Eoghan Osborne 0-4. Subs: Daithi Woods 0-1 for Ben Devlin.

The Naomh Fionnbarra adult men team fixtures are as follows; Division 5 League Round 8 v Dreadnots Tuesday 19th June 8:15pm at John Markey Park, Ballygassan, Division 5 League Round 9 v Hunterstown Rovers Thursday 21st June 8:15pm at Hunterstown, Division 5 League Round 10 v O'Raghallaighs Sunday 24th June 11:30am at John Markey Park, Ballygassan.  Big week for the Division 5 team with 3 games in 6 days!

Naomh Fionnbarra Ladies Football club would like to thank everyone who contributed to our church gate collection last weekend. The money raised will be used to buy new training equipment and cover the running costs of the club.

Well done to all U-8 players who took part in the blitz hosted by Naomh Fionnbarra this morning at John Markey Park.  A good mornings football was had by all!

Féile Peile is a national festival of Gaelic football for Boys & Girls under 14 years of age. It takes place on the last weekend of June (Fri Jun 29th - Sun Jul 1st) and in 2018 it is being hosted in countiesLouth/Meath & Down.  Naomh Fionnbarra/Lannleire have entered our boys U14 team, this means that we have agreed to host a visiting team, accommodating a team coming for Co. Antrim and we are in a group with St. Josephs GFC, Co.
