Naomh Fionnbarra club notes

Naomh Fionnbarra Ladies Football A.G.M. was held on Friday 12th January in Dilliontown National School. Thank you to all who attended. Thank you to our sponsor John O'Neill of O'Neills Bakery who has kindly agreed to continue his sposorship for another three years.  A new committee was elected. Marie Doyle was elected as chairperson, Maria Butterly as vice chairperson, Shauna Markey as Secretary, Deirbhile Osborne as assistant Secretary, Ann-Marie Breen as Treasurer, Leanne Sharkey as assistant treasurer, Susan O'Connell as PRO. 

 

We would like to thank all members of the 2017 committee. Thank you to Ashley Callaghan and Alison Gorham who have stepped down from the committee, both girls were a huge asset to the club in the last few years. Thank you to Maria Butterly who has been a great chairperson for the last four years. A special thanks to Bronagh Leonard for her work with our underage for the last six years. She is a great role model for many young players in our club.  We look forward to a successful 2018 under the management of Mark McArdle, Niall Campbell and Andrew Rodgers.  Thank you to Dilliontown primary school for the use of the school.  Training will start in two weeks, details to follow.  We welcome new members young and mature to join our fun, enthusiastic team.

 

Club Barrs will run for the next three years to help with the development of John Markey Park which will benefit the whole community.

Club Lotto will resume this Wednesday 17th January after the Christmas break.  Next weeks jackpot stays at €10,000.  Tickets are available from the usual local outlets, Lotto sellers and any committee member.  Funds raised from our Lotto draw go towards the running of the club and your support is greatly appreciated.

 

Well done to Naomh Fionnbarra player Ciaran Markey who has been selected on the Louth Minor (U-17) Panel for 2018.  

 

Louth GAA C&G Coaching Conference 2018.  Venue:  Louth GAA Centre of Excellence, Darver, Readypenny, Co. The Féile Peile na nÓg 2018 (Down, Louth and Meath) Tournament will be played on:  June 28th / June 29th / July 1st.  Hosting Club Meeting/Presentation Night that will be held on Thursday, 25th January 2018 at Carrickdale Hotel, Registration from  6.45pm, Meeting begins at 7.15pm.  People required at this meeting are as follows: 1.  Appointed Club Féile Co-Ordinator, 2.  Club Juvenile Committee Chairperson and 3.  Club Juvenile Committee Secretary.  All the details that a club needs to know regarding hosting a visiting team and playing in Féile Peile 2018 will be discussed on this night.
