Emmet Og club notes

March 27, 2017

Good luck also to our instrumental music group of Marie Brady, Padraig Walsh and Paddy Collumb in the Leinster senior Scòr final this coming Sunday afternoon in Ballymore in Westmeath. Hopefully ye will bring home the gold.

We kicked ff competitive action for 2017 with a very narrow victory at home over Carrickedmond in the Bertie Allen Cup on Friday evening last. A late Jamie King goal saw us emerge victorious on a score line of 1-8 to 9 points.

The second annual Terry McCormack memorial cycle takes place this Saturday. Good luck to all involved in running and  taking part in the event.

Hard luck to the Longford senior team on their narrow defeat to Laois in Portlaoise on Saturday evening. O Moore Park has certainly become bogey pitch for Longford over the years.

Our lotto draw for a jackpot of €6,700 took place on Sunday night last in The Olde Forge and the numbers drawn were 2, 16, 33 and 34 . There was no jackpot winner. €20 winners were Nellie McGoldrick, Ennybegs, Roisin Lennon, Esker, Fr Sean Casey, Thomas Quinn and Michael Dunleavy, Ohill. This weeks sellers prize went to Eugene Caherly. Next weeks draw for a jackpot of €6,800 will take place on Sunday night in Begleys bar. Thanks again to all who support our lotto in its various guises.
