Sympathy: Dromard GAA offers its sympathy to the Faughnan family on the death of Annie Faughnan, Mellican, Aughavas. The Club sends its condolences to Annie's family, Margaret, Pete (Corglass), Anne and Sean, to her grandson and former Dromard player Peadar and to the extended Faughnan family. SF Championship Quarter Final: In the quarter-final draw held on Sunday evening last, Dromard was drawn to play Carrickedmond. The game is fixed for Sunday week, 11th September, at 3.30pm in Glennon Brothers Pearse Park. This is shaping up to be a busy weekend for the club with the senior ladies team contesting the Junior Championship Final on Saturday 10th, also in Pearse Park, at 1.30pm. We encourage all supporters to get behind both teams in these important championship fixtures.

Páirc Na nGael: Thanks to the stewards and all those who helped out around the club grounds on Sunday evening as Dromard hosted the Clonguish versus Longford Slashers fixture.

Wedding bells: Congratulations to former Dromard player Noel Maguire, Aughamore Lower, on his recent marriage to Helen Kiernan, Annagh. We wish the newly married couple many years of health and happiness.

Lotto results: The lotto results for 22/08/2016. The numbers drawn were: 14, 16, 19, 21. There was no jackpot winner. The €20 draw winners were: Fr Charlie Healy, Kathleen McHugh, JJ Masterson and Vincent Doyle. The sellers' prize was won by Anne Browne. Next week's jackpot is €1,600.
