Seven of the teams in this year's Longford senior football championship are now known.

This weekend, we should have the eighth team as the winners of Killoe Emmet Og and St Mary's Granard will go through to the last eight.

Killoe lost out to Longford Slashers last weekend, but they will be slight favourites to advance at the expense of St Mary's.

The quarterfinals have been scheduled for Glennon Brothers Pearse Park on Saturday and Sunday September 3^rd and 4^th with the semi-finals a week later.

The county final has now been put back to Sunday October 16^th.
