Emmet Og Killoe club notes

SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP: We took on Longford Slashers in the replay of Round 2, Senior Championship at a wet and windy Maguire Park on Sunday last. After a commanding first half performance Emmet Óg held a five point lead at half time. However, in the second half Longford Slashers overturned our advantage and finished the stronger team to come away with a one point win. Final score: Longford Slashers 1-10 Emmet Óg 0-12. Our total attention will now be focused on our Round 3 'must win, winner takes all' game against St. Mary's which is fixed for McGee Park, Colmcille on this Sunday at 6pm.

 

RESERVE SENIOR CUP: Our Reserve Senior Cup Team are in action on this Wednesday when we take on St. Columba's in the quarter-final of the competition in Emmet Park at 8pm.

 

INJURIES: We take this opportunity to wish all our players who are injured or in hospital speedy recoveries and hope that they will be back in action very soon.

 

KILLOE LADIES: Well done to Killoe Ladies Senior Team on reaching County Championship Final with a convincing win over Ballymore in the semi-final played at Emmet Park on Sunday last. Best of luck to all involved for the final.

 

LOTTO: This week's draw was held in Begley's Pub on Sunday night last. The numbers drawn were: 2, 13, 14, 25. There was no Jackpot winner. €20 winners were: Mark Mimnagh, Longford. APOLOGY: We sincerely apologise to the Moorcroft Family, Kiltyreher for incorrectly stating the death of David in our previous notes.  This should of course read as the passing of David's father John RIP  We regret this mistake and once again express our sympathy to all of the Moorcroft Family.  We also extend our sympathy to the Quinn Family, Treanlawn and the wider Quinn Family on the death of Pat Quinn in New York. May he Rest in Peace.
