Davis points to 'bit of steel'

November 13, 2015

Mohill manager Padraic Davis believe that adding a 'bit of steel' to the side's character helped paved the way for the their success this year.

The club completed a league and championship double when they defeated Glencar/Manorhamilton in the league final last weekend.

This capped a memorable year for the club and Davis stressed to the Leitrim Observer that it dispelled any notion that this side was a 'soft touch'.

"If there was one thing I wanted to bring in to the team, the players and the management, the club and everyone involved was that bit of steel and after this year, nobody should question that," said Davis.

"They had that tag of being a soft touch, a townie team, I've heard all the little sound bites about it but now they have established themselves over a period of ten months and they have proven themselves, without doubt, these guys, when it comes to the crunch, they can do it."
