Longford minor manager Tony Devlin is adamant that his charges still have a major say in this year's All-Ireland championship.

Despite losing to Kildare in the Leinster minor football final last weekend, Devlin feels that are plenty of positives to take from the campaign so far.

However, the Midlanders now have an All-Ireland quarterfinal to look forward to against either Cavan or Derry and Devlin stressed to the Longford Leader that they have what it takes to get back on track.

"I think Longford can be proud of what they have done so far," said Devlin. "We are not finished yet. We said to the lads after the game that we have another chance and we will give it another go."
