Tough tasks ahead - Sheedy

Jack Sheedy admits Longford face "two very difficult games" in Rounds Six and Seven of the national football league.

The midlanders currently top Division Four with nine points from a possible ten but they still have to play Offaly - who also have nine points - and Carlow, who remain in the promotion hunt with six points.

While promotion is very much in Longford's hands, Sheedy warns that it is no formality: "There are two very difficult games and anything can happen," he states in The Longford Leader.

"There is no point in winning the games we have won and losing those two at the end of the season. It's very important that we keep our focus.

"Offaly won't want to lose to us and Carlow are still in the hunt."
