Past experiences to spur Killoe

September 05, 2014

Killoe Emmet Og manager Tommy McCormack is hoping that last year's exit at the SFC quarterfinal stage can spur the side on this time around.

A defeat to fierce rivals Longford Slashers last year ended Killoe's reign as county champions and McCormack stressed to the Longford Leader that the hurt from the defeat can spur them on against Dromard in this year's semi final.

"Hopefully, we can be able to look back on last year and we left the championship behind us after the championship triumph in 2012," said McCormack.

"This year to achieve anything we have to dig deep because there will be nothing easy. I think the lads are prepared to work hard."
