Congratulations to the Minor team who won the Division Two League title on Monday last, defeating Clonbroney/Wolfe Tones 3-11 to 0-9. Team: C Kilbride, S Gray, A Jones, S Mulligan, C McKeon 0-1, J Gorman, E Macken, C Reilly 0-1, R Harkin 0-2, D McCabe, A McKeon 0-1, R Hawkins 3-4, C McCabe 0-2, Subs: C Farley, P Farley, K Reilly, P McKeon, D Sexton, N McGee. Subs used: D Sexton for S Mulligan, N McGee for D McCabe. Well done to the backroom team Mickey Harkin, Killian Reilly, Noel Farrell and Padraig Murtagh for all their hard work to date this year. Focus turns to the Championship now and hopefully tha lads can have a good run at it.


The draw for the quarter finals of the Senior Championship has paired Colmcille with our neighbours Dromard. The game is fixed for Saturday 23rd at 7pm in Pearse Park. Please check fixtures for confirmation.

The club wish to thank Emmett Og, Longford Slashers, and in particular Gerry Clarke for their assistance and medical support following the injury suffered by Mark Mulligan in the recent Division 3 final. Mark has made a full recovery and we wish to acknowledge the fast response and medical assistance received on the evening.


At the recent executive meeting votes of sympathy were passed for Patrick (Packie) Keogh Aughnacliffe, Pat Sexton Molly, May Ginty, Frank Arlie, Mary Ann Kennedy Birr, Nancy Mallon Gelsha, and Mairead Myers (nee Doyle) Dublin. May they rest in peace.


Thanks to all who supported the players Table Quiz on Friday night in Murtaghs. The event was well supported with 22 teams taking part. Thanks to all prize sponsors also.

The club will host its second annual 5/10k run/walk on Saturday 27th September starting at the Cross. The route will be the same as last year and the event is suitable to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. Entry is €10, we hope you can join us on the day.
