Stephen Norton's 14th minute goal proved decisive as Clonguish secured their first win in this year's Longford SFC at the expense of champions Longford Slashers last night.

Following their defeat to Dromard in the first round, the Newtownforbes-based side were under pressure to get a result. The Round 3 ties will be played on the week ending Sunday, August 10.
